    First of all, number 3 is inaccurate unless from the beginning the top number is 105. Second of all on number four you’re counting squares and rectangles all together and that’s not what it was asked. A rectangle is not a square, that being said, your answer is inaccurate.

    The interest answer is wrong. You said 845 is fixed repayment, so that includes capital and interest. Every month the principal falls by the amount of capital repaid, so the outstanding principal will be falling. So the interest paid will be smaller...in effect the amount paid over 48 months must be split into the two components. This is how a mortgage works

    I solved the first question as follows: difference between 1 and 12 is (11) for which the base number is (1) .. difference between 12 and 45 is (33) for which the base number is (3).. given that the 3rd square base number is 9 (45= 4+5) then the difference must be 99 .. hence, 45+99 = 144
